Chashaku Matcha Spoon Made of Bamboo (Black)

Handcrafted matcha spoon (Japanese "Chashaku") made of black bamboo. In contrast to the frequently used white bamboo, the black bamboo has a black outer skin which gives it a special look. 

The matcha spoon is the traditional tool for removing matcha powder from the container in the correct dosage. Scoop to measure the correct amount of Matcha powder (approx. 1g). Carved from bamboo, it is bent into a spoon shape by hand over hot steam. The matcha spoon should not get wet and should therefore only be cleaned with a dry Cloth.
