Matcha Whisk "Chasen" Made from Black Bamboo, 80Tines

A bamboo whisk, size 80 (approximately 80 tines), traditionally handcrafted from black bamboo. The characteristic dark violet bamboo skin gives the handle a special accent; it is removed in the tine area for optimal flexibility. Suitable for preparing matcha and for tea ceremonies; ensures fine foam and an even emulsion. Each piece has a natural grain, slight color variations possible.
 
Compared with the 100-tine whisk, the 80-tine version offers greater control during whisking and is often preferred for preparing koicha (thick matcha). While it produces slightly less foam, it allows for a slower, more deliberate whisking technique favored in traditional tea practice.
