Sayama Tea is one of Japan’s most celebrated green teas, known for its rich flavor and distinctive character. Okuharuka is a rare single-origin sencha that showcases a softer, more delicate side of Japanese green tea.
 
When brewed slowly at a lower temperature, Okuharuka reveals a gentle aroma reminiscent of cherry blossom leaves, creating an elegant and soothing tea experience. With very little bitterness or astringency, it is exceptionally approachable and an excellent choice for those who are new to Japanese green tea.

Brewing Recommendations
 
4 gram of tea leaves | 250 ml water
 
First Infusion
  • Water temperature: 70–80°C
  • Steeping time: 1.5 minutes
A gentle infusion that highlights the tea’s natural sweetness and delicate floral notes.
 
Second Infusion
  • Water temperature: 90°C
  • Steeping time: 30 seconds
A richer brew with a more pronounced aroma and a pleasantly fuller body.
 
Third Infusion – Refreshing Cold Brew
  • Add cold water or ice to the tea leaves.
  • Let it steep for at least 3 hours.
The result is a refreshing cold tea with a smooth, clean finish and subtle sweetness.
